A Digital Matte Painter is directly responsible to the VFX Supervisor as well as the Client, and is responsible for painting/creating photorealistic digital images then applying those images to geometry in a 3-D environment with consistent and seamless results. The responsibilities of the Digital Matte Painter include: reviewing the storyboard to determine the type, placement and number of matte painting elements required; examining the film or tape plates, clips and stills of the background and/or principal action, as available; examining and evaluating the look of computer graphics οΏ½ animation, 3D modeling and technical effects οΏ½ in an effort to integrate the digital matte painting; preparing tests of proposed matte painting to show to the Creative director and or client to apprise him or her of the progress and synchronization of the matte work; and finalizing and integrating the final elements.
The Matte Painter must be highly experienced in digital knowledge of the UNIX, PC and Mac platforms, and of the various proprietary software programs utilized in CG work οΏ½ principally, Photoshop image manipulation as well as competency in a 3D modeling software applications like Cinema 4D, Max or Electric Image (3D Toolkit). Working knowledge of compositing packages such as Fusion, Shake, After Effects, Combustion and Commotion is a welcome addition.

These positions partner with the Visual Effects Supervisor and the production team in order to understand and execute the client and studios vision. An Effects TD at Prime Focus is responsible for using 3D approaches to plan and execute simulations and special effects for use in the production of live-action images. The Effects TD is responsible for the development of 3D effects looks as well as incorporating them into the pipeline for themselves and other artists on the team. This position is responsible for Simulation of natural phenomena by applying direct and procedural animation techniques to create a variety of effects.
The demands on our Effects TDs are extremely high. We require lively, enthusiastic, and organized artists who can cope under pressure to work in our busy deadline driven facility.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in a Feature Film and/or Commercial production facility with an emphasis on effects, simulations and procedural animation techniques. Proficiency in 3D Studio Max is required.
We will require this position to integrate their 3D elements. While you may not be responsible for final compositing, experience with node-based compositing software is encouraged.

The successful candidates will have deep technical knowledge with experience in all aspects of visual effects. This position is tasked with guiding and illuminating Prime Focus VFX Clients and Junior Production staff through the ins and outs of CG, Compositing, Editorial and Design. The ideal person will have worked on VFX Feature Projects, Commercial VFX, Music Videos, or Episodic VFX projects.
The demands on the producer are extremely high. The ideal candidate must have excellent Client skills. Strong leadership, management, and organizational abilities as well as a commitment to detail are essential. As always, Excellent Word, Excel, and File Maker Pro skills are essential.

Overview
The Pipeline Designer takes the lead on assigned Pipeline Cases, working directly with the interested parties to find optimal solutions under the constraints of business. The Designer analyzes the workflow surrounding the case and provides recommendations to the interested parties and works to reach a consensus on the best solution. In cases where pipeline software automation or tools are part of the solution, the Head of Pipeline (aka Pipeline Supervisor) will allocate Developers to the Case. The Designer then provides specifications to - and directs - the Developer(s) to realize the solution. The Pipeline Devleoper reports to the Head of Pipeline.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
1. Investigate business process and workflow issues as assigned by the Head of Pipeline.
2. Analyze existing workflows and processes and propose solutions where needed.
3. Work with interested parties to reach a consensus on newly proposed solutions
or processes.
4. Lead small teams of Pipeline Developers to automate business processes.
5. Organize beta testing for solutions involving the creation or revision of software
tools.
6. Formally document new workflows, procedures, and tools.
7. Act as a point of contact to the Pipeline Department in your region.
8. Uphold quality standards and vision set forth by the Head of Pipeline.
9. Assist with peer review of solutions proposed by other Designers.
10. Execute other pipeline related tasks as assigned by the Head of Pipeline.

Qualifications and Experience
